Unita Pember Crandall

My name is Mike Crandall. I was born in California. I was not there long as my parents brought me back to Mesa, Arizona after two weeks. My mother was taken to California to get her out of the Mesa, Arizona heat while she was pregnant with me. There was very little air conditioning in those days.

My ancestors came mostly from the north and the Crandall's I am descended from were converted to the Mormon faith in 1833 and soon became LDS pioneers traveling across the country from New York to Salt Lake, Utah.

From a branch of my wife Ruthie's family I came across a Cooper book called, "My Legacy". The name for my two websites, "My Ancestral Legacy .com and .org", were greatly influenced from that book.

In 2015 I found that places on the internet where I kept my genealogy online were disappearing so I decided to get my own website to display mine and my wife's genealogy. I decided that, "The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding" (link is below), was what I was looking for. So I purchased it. I have found that the software on this website is very much like my desktop program Ancestral Quest. So now I have a permanent place to display the results of my genealogy research.

I originally intended for this site to be a place where family can collaborate and share genealogy information. So that everyone would not be duplicating each others work. However that role is already taken by FamilySearch Family Tree and family trees in Ancestry.com. There has been little interest to register and none to stay and help with this project. So now I use this website only to display our genealogy using TNG software.

Personal Notes

I do not use Ancestral Quest or RootsMagic any longer on my computer to record my data. I mainly use Hope Chest and LDS FamilyTree and my FamilyTree in Ancestry.com which I love.
