She may be the Betsey who m. (---) Cable, or Betsey Cable may ha ve
been her father's sister.
The Cables were early settlers in Lorain Co., Ohio. Stephen Cabl e
kept a log-tavern in Amherst in 1815, in 1815, and a son of his is c alled
the first male child born in Lorain. Three Cable brothers were the f ounders
of New Rochester in Wood Co., where Betsey Cable's descendents lived . That
is very near Pemberville, Ohio.
