      m. Rebecka Holford, who d. Apr. 3, 1861, Ae 37; bur. Long Cem.,
      Pemberville. "Her mother died when she was four years old, and
      she was raised to womanhood by one of the Indian tribes then living
      in western N. Y." From these Indians the pioneer New Yorkers learned
      how to provide the comforts of home.
      res. Lorain Co. He did not leave Elyria until 1853; this fact suggest
      that one of his parentsmight have been living until that date. 1853
      he went to Pemberville. His name appears on the petition for
      incorporation in 1876, and other places in town records.

      opposite to Stillwell T. Pember, and set out the maples in th e street
      next his place." --Item in Pemberville Leader. In 1913 he live d in
      Bradner, Ohio; at the time of his death, in Hale, Mich.
