      “Frances learned the trade of tailoress in New London, Ct. She we nt
      to visit an aunt, Mrs. Harriet F. Humaston, near Rome, N. Y., where s he
      met and married Ephraim Humaston. a brother of Harriet's husband."

      Soon after they were married they moved to a small place that i n the
      early days was called Humastonville, on Fish Creek, a tributary to On eida
      Lake, this then “stage-coached“ town being located near Vienna. N. Y. ,
      which afterward gained outlet by railroad and led Humastonville off t he
      line of travel." (Mr. F. A. Cleveland.)
      The two children who died in infancy, and the three who died of t yphoid
      fever in 1863 are buried in the old burying-ground at Vienna, N. Y.
      “The surviving four children went West with their old folks, and
      settled in Whiteside Co., Illinois."
