      The records above are from a family bible in possession of Mr. A. E.
      Pember of Fort Wayne. Mrs. Shafstahl of Oberlin gives the same number
      (10) and names, except Betsey, whom she calls Jane. (Was she Betsey
      Jane?). Mr. Bert Pember of Los Angeles also calls her Jane.
      The family lived near Elyria.
      Lorain County has a Probate record of William Pember, (No. 1848)
      and Charity Pember (No. 1866), both of date 1875, heirs not named.
