Savage, Vol 3., p.297: Freeman 1676, was that year constable of
Boston.
Descendants of Reverend William Noyes: Went to the Bermudas.
Noyes' Genealogy: Member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery
Company of Boston.
Noyes Descendants: He was made freeman in Boston, in 1675. July
27th, 1674, the selectmen voted, "John Noyse is prohibited to
imploy his brother William Noyse as a cooper upon the penaltie of
10s. a weeke, haveing served but 4 1-4 yeares to the trade and not
21 yeares of age." He was second sergeant of the Ancient and
Honorable Artillery company in 1678, and was constable in 1675.
