      FOUND SNAKE IN HER BOOT
Kansas Woman Discovers What Bothered Her Foot
Mrs Grover Filby, wife of a farm near Skiddy, Kan., raises ducks. Mr s. Filby also has a pair of rubber boots that she wears when attending t o her charges. When not in use the boots are left lying on the porch.
In the morning, when Mrs. Filby slipped them on, she noticed that on e of them was rather tight but did not pull it off as she supposed that t he children had stuffed paper or rags into the toe, as a joke on her.
She looked after the ducks, and returning to the house pulled off th e boots. From the right one dropped a snake.
Mrs. Filby has no recollection how large the serpent was or its kind . She fainted
