      John Porter and Mary had 12 children; oldest John Porter III. John Port e r II
      (1620-1688) member of 1st Troop of Horse in Conn.; served in King Philip ' s
      War 1675; was a founder of Waterbury, Conn.; Deputy to the General Court
      1668; died at Windsor, Conn., Aug. 2, 1688.

      John Porter III born Jan. 3, 1651; died Jan. 4, 1699; married Joanna Gay l ord,
      Dec. 16, 1669. Joanna Gaylord born Feb. 8, 1653; died 1718.

      Joanna Gaylord, dau. of Walter Gaylord, b. Eng.; d. Aug. 9, 1689; m. Mar c h 29,
      1648, Mary Stebbins, born Eng. (dau. of Deacon Edward Stebbins, who came
      from Eng. to Cambridge, Mass. 1633 and removed to Hartford, Conn., 1636;
      Rep. 1639-1658. Edward Stebbins died 1663; his wife Mrs. Frances Stebbins
      died 1673).

      Walter Gaylord, son of William Gaylord, a deacon of church at Plymouth , E ng.,
      who came in ship "Mary and John" to Dorchester, Mass. 1630. Rep. 1636.
      Removed to Windsor, Conn. Rep. 1637 to 1673, when he died July 20, 1673,
      ae 88.

      John and Joanna (Gaylord) Porter had eleven children, 2nd Mary. Mary Por t er
      born Nov. 20, 1672; married Hezekiah Loomis, Apr. 30, 1690; they lived in
      Wintenbury (now Bloomfield), Conn. Mrs. Mary (Porter) Loomis died Aug.
      12, 1752; Hezekiah Loomis died 1758. They had 8 children; oldest Noah Lo o mis
      married Sarah Morton.
