SAWYER
John Sawyer, father of the immigrant, was a farmer in Lincolnshire, Engl a nd. W
here he is supposed to have been a landholder also. He had three sons: W i lliam,
Edward and Thomas, who left England on a ship commanded by Captain Parke r ,
and settled in Massachussetts about 1636.
Edward son of John Sawyer, brought over with him from England his wife , w hose
maiden name was Peaseley, and their children. Mary, Henry, James, mentio n ed
below. They settled first in Ipwich and then in Rowley, Massachusetts.
