Notice that there is a, "Sallyan Thornton was born October 5th 1827", toward the end of this record. The will of Eldridge Thornton (listed in his notes) does list a "Sally Ann" Thornton as his daughter. Eldridge married secondly Elizabeth "Betsy" Royal who was the widow of William Westbrook. Who was this William Westbrook?
